I’m Torrance Clayton.  I always tell people my name is pronounced and spelled like the city in California.  My personality is bright and sunny, also like California.  I’m originally from Hertford County North Carolina.  Although, I enjoyed growing up in a small-town community; after college, I decided to stay in the Raleigh area.  With sporting events, festivals, concerts, parks, and museums, there is always something fun to do in the Triangle. 

Surprisingly to most people who know me, I recently began doing amateur comedy stand up as a hobby.  Like many people, I use to have a fear of public speaking.  A trait that has helped me in real estate, and in life, is my ability to face challenges head-on.  I figure, what better way to get comfortable speaking in public than grabbing an open mic and going for it?   You can’t expect others to take a leap of faith if you aren’t willing to do the same.  Carpe Diem, “Seize the day”.     

Buying my first house is what attracted me to a career in real estate.  I wasn’t sure of the process, or the steps need for home ownership.  What I did know is that every journey begins with a single step.  I decided to reach out to a realtor and learn more about the process.  Again, Carpe Diem.  Once I spoke to a realtor, I felt more comfortable with the overall process.  My intrigue did not stop there.  I wanted to learn as much as possible about real estate so became a North Carolina licensed Realtor in 2018.  It has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life, and I enjoy helping others with their real estate journey and goals.
